How to use our books
Purposeful Practice Nonfiction Animal Decodables focus on reinforcing students' reading of important single syllable phonics milestones including: short vowels, blends and digraphs, silent e, vowel teams, r-controlled vowels, and advanced vowels. These 30 engaging titles support students in developing fluency and automaticity on known phonics concepts, while reading to learn information from nonfiction text. These nonfiction decodables can be used in whole class or small group instruction, or provided for partner, independent, or take home reading. Blending lines found within the inside front cover provide an excellent warm up with phonics in isolation.
